Know Thy Autistic Self

Welcome, fellow Autists!

I would venture a guess that you have landed on this page because you are searching for a therapist who understands what it's like to be autistic. Perhaps you've tried working with other well-meaning allistic therapists and are tired of translating your autistic experience, hoping they will finally get it.

While I may not know you (yet), you may have come to the right place. As an AuDHD person myself, I offer radically affirming, autistic-centered support. I only work with other autistic folks, and I have spent years studying what it means to be autistic and how we can lead lives that work better for us in the context of a world that is, for the most part, hostile toward autistic people.

I am particularly well suited to work with autistic folx who are complex and have a variety of other intersecting experiences that shape their lives, including chronic health conditions (EDS, POTS, ME, etc.), ADHD, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance / Persistent Drive for Autonomy), OCD, anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD and cPTSD), and giftedness (2e).

Being autistic in our world is deeply challenging, especially if you've had to navigate it without the support you truly needed. Therapy can provide a safe space where you are understood and supported while finding ways to build a life that works better for you in a nonjudgmental, accommodating environment.

In addition to psychotherapy, I also facilitate an ongoing Late-Discovered Autistic Support And Learning Community, and professional development training.
